FG DECLARES OCTOBER 1ST PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, October 1st, 2021, as a public holiday to mark the country’s independence.

According to a statement released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, on Wednesday, September 28th, 2021, the minister, Rauf Aregbesola, assured Nigerians of the present regime’s commitment to eradicating all challenges facing the country as it marks its 61st independence.

He, however, disclosed that the celebration would be low-key as a result of the ravaging COVID-19.
