Nigerian Gospel Singer, Sinach, has been honored by Texas’ 18th Congressional District with a certificate of recognition for using her music to preach the gospel.
Sinach, who is the current winner of the Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) Song of the Year award for her song “Way Maker,” shared the news on her social media handle saying she received the letter from Sheila Jackson Lee, a US Congress member from Texas.
In the letter, it was stated that she was given the recognition because she has used her music to spread the gospel around the world and for conducting a successful concert in Houston, Texas on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021.
According to the Congresswoman, music brings people together and allows us to experience the same emotions. “People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. They have the freedom, through song, to discover their destiny and maximize their hidden potential through communion with the one true God”. Indeed, your tireless efforts are completely deserving of the respect, administration, and commendation of the United States Congress,”, she said.
Sheila Jackson went on to thank Sinach for spreading her universal language throughout the world.
